Domaine Corsin Saint Veran Tirage Precoce 2020

Categories , ,

If you ever get the chance – visit Corsin in late February. That’s when he tastes through each of his 28 tanks of Saint Véran and Pouilly Fuissé, deciding at that point which wines will go into barrel, which will stay in tank and which will go directly into bottle – each method selected to bring out the truest essence of that individual tank.

The results are remarkable and leave no doubt that Corsin is the master of white Burgundy. Period. The Tirage Précoce cuvée is one that went in bottle right away, with no oak aging, its crisp green apple and crunchy pear fruit with a mineral streak a mile long a perfect representation of the limestone-laden hills of Saint Véran.

After a short hiatus, we finally have Domaine Corsin’s new release of 2020 Saint Veran Tirage Precoce. This is an electric bottle of wine. The Tirage Precoce cuvée is one that went in bottle right away, with no oak aging, its crisp green apple and crunchy pear fruit with a mineral streak a mile long a perfect representation of the limestone-laden hills of Saint Véran.

Original price was: $32.00.Current price is: $27.75.

Few wines in our store are more food friendly than Giles Corsin’s brilliant white Burgundy and none deliver a better bang for the buck.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to offer you  one of our most anticipated Chardonnays year in and year out. The 2019 came and went, but with lower yields, not much made it over to the states. This year, I made sure we could get our hands on some.  This is an unadulterated version of Chardonnay, filled with mineral-laced green-apple/Asian pear aromas and flavors. Bracing acidity provides a super long finish and wonderful food-friendliness. This is a great White Burg. Get it while it lasts!

Pair with just about anything but sings with richer fish dishes, pork, chicken and anything in a cream sauce.
