Blood Oath Pact 10 is the brand new release in the acclaimed Blood Oath series by Lux Row Distillers. They outdid themselves with this one. This is a meticulously crafted bourbon blend, embodying the pinnacle of artisanal whiskey-making.
Released just last week, Pact 10 stands out for its unique blend of three Kentucky straight bourbons at three different years, each contributing distinct characteristics to the final product. The rumor this year is that According to Master Distiller and Master Blender John Rempe, “he has sworn to never reveal where he finds his bourbon, but only promises to choose and make the best he knows.” Word on the street is that this year, the age statements on the Bourbons are 7, 12 and 16 years of age.
The 7-year-old bourbon offers a robust spice profile, the 8-year-old adds rich, creamy caramel notes, and the 16-year-old bourbon brings deep, oak-aged complexity. Finished in Oloroso sherry casks, this limited-edition bourbon boasts a multifaceted flavor profile with notes of dark fruit, toasted almonds, and a hint of cocoa, making it a luxurious and nuanced addition to the Blood Oath lineup. As you can imagine, with this being the 10 year anniversary of this special limited release, Lux Rox’s team went all out. This is a beloved bottling that will surely spike even more than it already has in the few days its been out. I have just a few bottles – first come, first served.
