One of the cooler releases courtesy of Jim Beam and Bookers is the Little Book Series. Chapter 5 takes this special blend from superstar Freddie Noe to a whole other level. It includes mash bills and grain varieties not seen anywhere else in the Jim Beam portfolio and they effortless fit together like puzzle pieces. Each adds complexity and intricacies to the bottle which is a ‘story’ of four different whiskeys, including bourbon both young and old, along with some more unusual rye whiskey. I’ve seen this priced as high as $800/bottle online. It’s nuts, I know. But these are rare bottlings that make great investments — with small quantities made and constant movement in the market.
Bookers Little Book Chapter 5 ‘The Invitiation’
This is a super passion project for Master Distiller Freddie Noe which brings out the most creativity perhaps in the entire Jim Beam portfolio. It’s a magical blend of four different whiskey types, with the most unique whiskey in this batch a 100% malted rye whiskey– something unheard of for Jim Beam for a variety of reasons.
Little Book’s Chapter 5 is a winner and I was hoping to secure more than the 9 bottles I managed. I’m not sure how long these collectibles are going to last, but I know whoever gets them is getting a bottle that should appreciate rapidly here in the next few years.
This brand new 2021 release includes mash bills and grain varieties not seen anywhere else in the Jim Beam portfolio and they effortless fit together like puzzle pieces. Bold and seductive aromas of cocoa, butterscotch, toffee and almond with a yeasty expression and rich creamy notes of caramelized sugar, oak and a dash of honey.
