The third release of three batches from Booker’s Bourbon 2023 Collection is Booker’s Batch 2023-03 ‘Might Fine Batch.’ These mini-releases have become extremely popular, and for good reason. “The vanilla and brown sugar sweet notes come through very well from the white oak barrels this bourbon aged in for over seven years. The taste is great and full bodied; when I added a splash of water, it opened up some great flavors, with a finish that gives a lovely “Kentucky Hug. My Dad would say that this is a Mighty Fine batch of Booker’s.” -Fred Noe
Booker’s ‘Mighty Fine Batch’ Small Batch Bourbon 2023-03
The third installment of the 2023 super limited production project from the Bourbon leaders, Booker’s and their iconic master distiller, Freddie Noe has finally arrived. They’re calling this batch ‘Mighty Fine Batch’ and it was just released this week for their fall 2023 bottling. It’s another uncut and unfiltered monster that was aged seven years, 1 month and 10 days and bottled at 126.6 proof. (63.3% alc.)
Like all batches of Booker’s Bourbon, ‘Might Fine’ Batch was selected by Seventh Generation Master Distiller Freddie Noe.
The color of this Booker’s batch invites you to take a long look and enjoy the rich, beautiful color. The nose is very pleasant, with all the characteristics Dad looked for in his namesake bourbon. The vanilla and brown sugar sweet notes come through very well from the white oak barrels this bourbon aged in for over seven years. The taste is great and full bodied; when I added a splash of water, it opened up some great flavors, with a finish that gives a lovely “Kentucky Hug” that isn’t too hot, but just right.
