“Deep and concentrated. This shows aromas of berry compote, black olives, Mediterranean herbs and hints of espresso. The palate is creamy and textured, full-bodied yet vibrant, with lots of juicy fruit. Garnacha and a pinch of syrah.”

Bodegas Borsao is a prominent winery located in the Campo de Borja region of Spain, known for producing excellent value-driven wines, particularly those made from the Garnacha (Grenache) grape.

They’re located in the Northeastern past of Spain, tucked away in the province of Zaragoza – an arid spot with lots of super old Garnacha vines. Borsao is a major player in the country and one of the reasons for the resurgence of the Garnacha grape in Spain.

They make the Berola from a blend of 70% Garnacha, 20% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s a big, fruity wine that shows off both finesse and power and comes from a tiny parcel in the oldest section of the vineyard. If you haven’t tried a wine from Borsao – this is a great place to start.
