The Gattinara Il Puto is a gem. Antonio Galloni called it “one of the most exciting wines I tasted” in his most recent Alto Piemonte report. There’s a good reason for that too. Winemaker Stefano Doreli is a dynamo. He does everything in the classical sense, with long fermentations and extended aging in casks. His finished product is like a work of art – what Galloni called, “Medium in body, yet deep and resonant” when he reviewed this wine and gave it a resounding 96-point score. He called it “Silky, elegant, and wonderfully nuanced” and at the price its at today, easily one of the finest values in Piedmont.
