“This Moulin-à-Vent reaches heights that raise Beaujolais as a whole. Ruby in color, the wine opens with raspberry, bruised blackberry, dried black-cherry skin, autumn field grass and violet blossom. Soft tannins open on the attack, followed by black and red fruits that have spent enough time together in bottle to understand they are more valuable as a comingled whole rather than existing each on its own.”

Château du Moulin-à-Vent is a storied estate located in the heart of the Moulin-à-Vent appellation, one of the ten crus of Beaujolais. With a history dating back to the 16th century, this renowned property has played a pivotal role in establishing the reputation of Moulin-à-Vent as a premier cru of the region.

The château’s vineyards are situated on the slopes of the famous Moulin-à-Vent hill, benefiting from a unique terroir characterized by ancient volcanic soils and a microclimate that allows the Gamay grape to reach exceptional levels of maturity and complexity.

Under the stewardship of the Parinet family, who acquired the estate in 2009, Château du Moulin-à-Vent has undergone a remarkable renaissance. Through meticulous viticulture and a commitment to traditional winemaking techniques, the estate has reclaimed its position as one of the greatest expressions of Moulin-à-Vent.
