Fiancetto Gravelly Loam Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Categories , ,
The Napa Valley enjoyed a near perfect growing season that began in late February of 2018. Spring was cool and dry, with extended flowering that brought perfect grape clusters. The summer was free of the extreme heat events that plagued earlier vintages this decade, extending development on the vine all the way to the end of October. This magical year culminated in a long, event-free harvest that was 2-3 weeks later than normal. The grapes were tiny, with thick skins, and packed with incredible potential for complexity and concentration. The resulting wines are classics, black in color, wound up and incredibly long on the palate.
But, Fiancetto is still a start-up and Ry needs to sell almost as fast as he makes it so for those in the know, Fiancetto is always an incredible deal.  The latest rendition of the Gravelly Loam cuvee shows high-toned aromas of black current, plum, mocha and cigar box, leading to a packed middle core of black fruit. The finish goes forever. 2018 Napa wines are uniquely special, big and powerful but aromatically fine and racy, fine tannins. Drink now for the incredible primary fruit or cellar for the next 5-7 years. But don’t delay, as past customers will attest, there is never enough of any of the Fiancetto Cabernet bargains!

Original price was: $60.00.Current price is: $32.00.

The Gravelly Loam cuveé comes from two well-placed sources on the eastern valley floor that has the porous, gravelly soil that is home to some of the greatest Cabs in Napa.  Roots dig deep in the poor soil, drawing mineral groundwater for fresh, vibrant grapes. The vineyards’ position on the valley floor guarantees excellent sun exposure providing for superb concentration. The result is knocked-out Cabernet, loaded with juicy black fruit and a finish that lasts a minute.
