Mont Gravet is a tribute to the special terroirs from which we have sourced this range of artisanal wines. Mainly situated on south exposed gentle slopes called “Mont”, the grapes benefit from the warm sun, while the mists from the Atlantic Ocean to the west and Mediterranean Sea to the east bring cooler winds.
What makes this wine punch so far above its price? First, location matters – these grapes are grown near Eauze in Gascony, where vineyards at 200m elevation benefit from warm sunshine while cooling mists from both the Atlantic and Mediterranean create perfect balance. The unique “Gravet” rocky soils force vines to dig deep for water, developing remarkable complexity.
The winemaking is equally thoughtful – night harvesting preserves freshness, while a slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel captures every aromatic nuance. Four months aging on fine lees adds subtle texture and depth rarely found at this price point.
