Mount Peak Sentinel Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

93 Points, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

This is an incredible Sonoma Cabernet that combines fruit from two outrageously good sources. One is Monte Rosso Vineyard which sits at over 1,000 feet elevation high in the Mayacamas Mountains. The other is from legendary Stagecoach Vineyard. Not many people have access to two vineyards are special as these!

It’s a full-bodied, fruit forward treat with notes of red and black fruit, creme de cassis, and sweat oak backed by some dark fruited notes, chewy tannins and even a little bit of spice. I’d drink it now thru 2040, and at today’s price – it’s one you can stock up on guilt-free.

Original price was: $65.00.Current price is: $45.00.

93 Points, Parker’s Wine Advocate

Deep ruby, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Sentinel comes from the Monte Rosso Vineyard (87%) and Stagecoach Vineyard (13%) and was matured for 19 months. Its cassis core is accented by touches of blackcurrant bud, vanilla and cigar wrappers on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, powerful and ripe, with grainy tannins, soft acidity and a long finish laced with sweet baking spices.
