Schlosskellerei Gobelsburg is a historic, benchmark producer located in the Kamptal region of Austria. It’s one of the oldest wineries in Austria, with a history that dates back to the 12th century, originally associated with a nearby Cistercian monastery.
These monks have an incredibly deep understanding of the region’s terroir. The winery continues to utilize organic winegrowing and has benefited from the fact that the monks of Zwettl Monastery began these practices as early as 1958.
Gobelsburg, like many in the Kampal region, are best known for their Riesling and Gruner Veltliner bottlings, but this standout Rose of Zweigelt has become a well-known ticket item as well.
