Sea Sun by Caymus Vineayrds Chardonnay 2018
The SeaSun is a product of Charlie Wagner of Caymus and Mer Soleil fame. Though it comes from different vineyard sources as the Mer Soleil, it shares similar qualities in that it’s a more classic Caymus style Chardonnay– round and more full-bodied with creamy lemon pudding notes, zesty citrus with a hint of vanilla and a dash of oak. Because this wine comes from a combination of different Monterrey and Santa Barbara sites, it flies under the radar but at the price point delivers plenty of bang for your buck.
