Stephane Ogier Cotes du Rhone Le Temps Est Venu 2022

92 Points, Jeb Dunnuck – 91 Points, James Suckling

Since back in the day, I’ve implored our readers to stash away every bottle we sold from Stephane Ogier. Of course, ever since Wine Spectator placed him in their Top 100, getting his wines has been like catching lightning in a bottle. But today, I have his stellar 2022 ‘Le Temps Est Venu’ – always one of the Côtes du Rhône’s highest-rated wines.

This is by far the superstar’s best value in his impressive portfolio. Crafted from 30-50 year old vines, it combines the richness of Châteauneuf with the peppery spice of Côte-Rôtie. Dunnuck awarded it 92 points, praising its “black raspberry and redcurrant fruit” and “beautiful balance.”

Original price was: $25.00.Current price is: $20.95.

“Mostly Grenache and Syrah, the 2022 Côtes Du Rhône Le Temps Est Venu is up-front and loaded with charm, offering lots of black raspberry and redcurrant-like fruit as well as peppery garrigue and spice. It’s medium to full-bodied, round, layered, and beautifully balanced.”

91 Points, James Suckling
“A juicy, aromatic and fresh blend of 60% grenache and 40% syrah. The nose shows notes of dark cherries, cassis, black pepper and dried thyme. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Juicy and well-driven with blue fruit at the center and a spicy finish. Drink now.”
