Suntory ‘The Yamazaki’ 12-Year Single Malt Japanese Whisky

“The Yamazaki” Whisky is Suntory’s flagship single malt whisky, from Japan’s first and oldest malt distillery. This one was made by them blending different components aged in American, Spanish, and Japanese Mizunara oak.

This has a gorgeous gold color to it with inviting notes of peach, pineapple, candied ginger, grapefruit and orange. On the palate, it gives off some dried cranberry notes to pair with some citrus fruit and a little oak. It’s smooth with a long finish, and you can tell this has some age to it. A beautiful example of Japanese Whisky at its finest.
