“Heady aromas of rose petal, white cherry and apple blossom offer an alluring entry Tenuta Terre Nere Etna Rosato, which according to the wine-maker, has the body of a white but the soul of a red. The palate is crisp and sleek, on the light side of medium bodied, with redolent flavors of citrus zest, pink fruit and just enough minerality to remind you that you are drinking wine grown on the slopes of an active volcano.”

“2022 was a beautiful vintage, among the most perfect that Marco de Grazia has ever experienced since he arrived on Etna. The summer was dry and warm, but the winter rains helped the vines grow without stress. Harvested in September, sourcing grapes from vineyards of different ages situated between 700 and 850 metres above sea level, the 2022 vintage shows inviting aromas of red cherry, pink grapefruit, ginger and oyster shell. The texture is creamy and velvety, with a savoury acidity that creates length and a multi-layered finish. This is a beautiful wine with depth and freshness.”

“A plush rosé marked by succulent acidity, with peach skin, white cherry and watermelon aromas and flavors that burst from the glass. Offers floral, chalk, eucalyptus and smoke accents. “

“Proprietor Marc de Grazia is one of the pioneers of the Etna. Not only was he among the first producers to recognize the value of these once-forgotten, ancient terroirs, he also was the first producer to bring attention to the specific qualities of these vineyards by bottling single-parcel Nerellos that have become reference-point wines for the Etna.” – The Wine Advocate

“Terre Nere’s wines all possessed unbelievable freshness and complexity as well as huge perfumes that suggested Pinot Noir…These wines are astonishingly complex and ethereal efforts from the hillsides of Mt. Etna in Sicily.” – Robert Parker, Jr.

Terre Nere boasts 43 hectares of vineyards, including some of the highest-altitude red grape vineyards in Europe. Their vineyards are divided into three crus: Calderara, Guardiola, and Feudo di Mezzo, each with unique terroir and age.

The volcanic soils of the vineyards, characterized by ash, pumice, and rock, contribute to the distinctive character of the wines imparting an incredible elegance to the final result. The extreme weather conditions, influenced by altitude and exposure, further shape the grapes and ultimately the wines.
