90 points, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The energetic 2016 Crianza was produced with Tempranillo grapes that fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel and matured in used oak barrels for 12 months. It’s a clean and classical Tempranillo with moderate oak and clean aromas. It has a pleasant medium-bodied palate.
This is a beautiful Spanish house wine at an amazing value. You’ll want a bunch of these bottles around the house to pop open whenever someone is coming over or for when 5:00 rolls around!

Sourced from iron-rich clay soils in the Rioja sub-zones of Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta, Vina Bujanda’s sustainably farmed old-vines produce fresh reds that are perfect with most food pairings. The 2016 is a delicious Spanish red, marrying juicy, blackberry fruit, a savory tone and silky tannins to create the perfect house red. Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate called the wine, “energetic”, “clean” and “classical Tempranillo.
Pair with anything off the grill; burgers, steaks and lamb chops for sure and after dinner, with any kind of Alpine-styled cow’s milk cheese.
