Weingut Freiherren Von Heddesdorff Riesling Feinherb 2017

Categories ,

Andreas von Canal is the grandson of the last Freiherr von Heddesdorff. His family has grown Riesling in Winningen since 1454, on steep, terraced vineyards near the confluence of the Mosel and the Rhine, just upriver from Koblenz.

The spectacular, steep terraced sites of Freiherren von Heddesdorff seem to rise vertically from the river Mosel. The old vines are rooted in rocky soil over a deep bed of slate. This tiny estate produces aromatic wines with weight, traditionally fermented in large oak barrels.

The 2017 Riesling Feinherbhas offers an elegant bouquet of minerals, wet stone and ripe fruit. On the palate, the wine’s slight off-dry component is beautifully balanced by the steely acidity typical of the Mosel. Drink now-2025.

Original price was: $22.00.Current price is: $18.95.
