Our friends at Widow Jane are back with an exciting new launch, and you better believe our decades-long relationship has brought us the very first batch that landed in New Jersey. We are in for a big treat today.

Don’t let the name fool you — it’s talking about corn, not the age of the whiskey. This is a seven-year Bourbon. Not as old as some of the whiskey that WJ puts out, but certainly not a baby either.

‘Baby Jane’ is actually the name of the heirloom corn from which Widow Jane makes their now-signature whiskey. This is an homage to that special corn.

If you are a diehard Widow Jane fan, like many I know in the Bourbon Buyers Club, then you probably already knew about the sweet water from limestone mines in New York and the small-batch approach the distillery takes. But sourcing their own heirloom corn varieties from local farms is a lesser known fact that WJ takes a lot of pride in. This is an homage to corn.
